Blair Athol Coal Mine, Queensland, Australia - largest in the world, the drag line removes the last 10 metres of overburden to reveal the 30 metres of coal beneath that is being loaded into the trucks, each 10 metres high, 10 metres wide and carrying about 100 tonnes.  This is one of 5 pits that make up the mine, the land is then restored 30 metres lower than it was!
